At Vermont Tree Goods we are tree recyclers.

Our work is driven by a desire to create a better ending for the oldest of Vermont’s heirloom trees otherwise disregarded as too big or misshapen. Once a tree reaches the end of its growing years we give it a chance to live on for generations as beloved furniture and architectural elements.

Commercial mills are fed immature forest grown trees in an expedient manner that ignores the existing potential of the trees already growing in our communities. It is our mission to see that as much of that wood is transformed as possible, so it doesn’t just end up as carbon emissions, and its beauty is not lost forever.

Since the trees we are recycling have naturally completed their growth cycles, processing them allows young trees to grow longer, contributing to our atmosphere for decades to come. With our focus on efficiency and sustainability, we are viewing the future in all we do.
