New Life for New England’s Largest Slippery Elm

Vermont Tree Goods is partnering with the Vermont Nature Conservancy to give new life to this enormous Charlotte elm tree.  We were sorry to hear about its death, due to a fungus known as Dutch elm disease.   Putting a positive spin on this sad story, Vermont Tree Goods will be selling furniture made from the tree’s wood and supporting the Nature Conservancy’s elm restoration efforts.  Check out the story, as told by WCAX TV:
